From the Daily Mail: Osama killed with pork-coated bullets
Happy Armed Forces Day!
From an eternally grateful nation, God Bless you all, members of the Armed Forces.
Here’s a little bit of history, courtesy of the DoD:
President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country.
On August 31, 1949, Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force Days. The single-day celebration stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under one department — the Department of Defense.
From the NRA – a nice video tribute to those that really count, that get the job done every day, and don’t seek fame or credit for it….
Friday Funnies: Semper Sly!
From The Daily:
Border Sneaks are Semper Sly
Border Patrol officers busted 13 illegal immigrants trying to sneak across the border by disguising themselves as U.S. Marines.
Two Border Patrol officers with military experience stopped a white van with altered U.S. government plates last Monday at the Campo, California, checkpoint and found the men inside all sporting crew cuts and Marine desert uniforms, all with the name “Perez.”
– Sarah Ryley
You gotta love how all the uniform name tags were “Perez”. Classic.
Not all of DC was shut down last month…
The Old Guard keeping watch, regardless of conditions…
That’s vigilance, right there. Hooah!!
The Seven Army Values:
Loyalty. Duty. Respect. Selfless Service. Honor. Integrity. Personal Courage.
God Bless America and all those people who make it the great country in the world!

My Kind of Santa!!
You better watch out… You better not cry…
Better not pout, I’m telling you why…
Santa Claus is coming to town!!
Steny Hoyer: Asshat.
F*ck you, Hoyer. Most in the military take home a very small fraction of what you make in the House, and yet every day, while actually putting their life on the line; they do more every day, to make a difference in this world, than you will ever do in your lifetime… especially when partisan politics blind you.
Hey, if you don’t stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them…
Never Forgotten
The “Tribute in Light” memorial is in remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001, in honor of the citizens who lost their lives in the World Trade Center attacks. The two towers of light are composed of two banks of high wattage spotlights that point straight up from a lot next to Ground Zero. The “Tribute in Light” memorial was first held in March 2002. This photo was taken from Liberty State Park, New Jersey on September11, 2006, the five year anniversary of 9/11. USAF photo by Denise Gould.
