Court says Nazi slogan is legal in English
Fri, Aug 14 13:41 PM EDT

BERLIN (Reuters) – Nazis slogans banned in Germany may be legal if they are translated from German into English, one of the country’s highest courts has ruled.

The Federal Court of Justice said it had rescinded a conviction against a man fined 4,200 euros ($5,993) for possessing 100 T-shirts due for sale emblazoned with the words “Blood & Honor” — a translation of the Hitler Youth slogan “Blut und Ehre.”

The display of Nazi symbols is forbidden in Germany, but the court said the context of the original phrase had been sufficiently distorted to render its usage legal.

“By translation into another language, the Nazi slogan, which is characterized not just by its meaning but also by the German language, is fundamentally transformed,” it said.

The court added, however, that the man could still be convicted of using the English phrase “Blood & Honor” because it was also the name of a far-right organization that is banned in Germany, but that the original verdict had not considered this.

Not that anyone even watches MSNBC, I certainly didn’t see it, just saw the video clip on Youtube later from another source.  I didn’t even know who the guy was until I saw a name in the keyword tags of the video, so I’m actually propping up this unknown asshat I guess.

Liberals are tired of hearing Obama being labeled as a Socialist – So they are attempting to label Obama opponents as racists . “Socialist” is the new code for the “N-Word” – Leave it to MSNBC to concoct something this insane!   In the end though, it really shows who’s the racist.

Freudian Slip?

Press Secretary Robert Gibb, when asked by the press if this Administration recognizes Ahmadinejad as the legitimate leader of Iran….

“I denoted that Mr. Ahmadinejad was the elected leader of Iran. I would say it’s not for me to pass judgment on. He’s been inaugurated, that’s a fact. Whether any election was fair, obviously the Iranian people still have questions about that and we’ll let them decide that. But I would simply say he’s been inaugurated and we know that is simply a fact.”

heh… is he talking about Iran’s election, or ours? :)

A picture’s worth a thousand words, and this one spoke volumes…

American Thinker and Redstate posted some great articles on Friday, talking about a very candid photo of Sergeant James Crowley, Gates and Obama walking to the “beer summit”.

It’s truly a great illustration of the content of both Crowley and Obama’s character; judge as you will.
